Inventory Officer

About the role

The Inventory Officer will ensure that stock levels are aligned with project requirements, preventing over‑stocking, shortages and waste. Working on‑site in Nairobi, you will use Zoho to track movements, reconcile physical counts and support accurate financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor stock from receipt through storage, dispatch and disposal, flagging any risks to project timelines.
• Reconcile physical inventory with Zoho entries, investigate mismatches and update records promptly.
• Prepare and maintain delivery notes and documentation for all inventory movements.
• Record all transactions—including purchases, adjustments, write‑offs and transfers—to keep financial statements accurate.
• Conduct regular stock risk assessments and internal audits, implementing controls to reduce losses.
• Participate in automation projects to streamline material request processes and standardise documentation.
• Develop cost reports, variance analyses and profitability summaries for project managers and leadership.

Required profile

• Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• At least 12 months of experience in inventory or procurement functions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently on‑site.
• Good numerical and analytical skills for accurate reconciliation.
