IT Maintenance Assistant

About the role

We are looking for an IT Maintenance Assistant to provide comprehensive hardware, network, and system support for our call centre and office environments in Nairobi. The role involves ensuring all IT equipment operates smoothly and securely, supporting both staff and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, scanners and telephony devices.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware issues across office locations and outlet shops.
• Monitor and maintain servers, LAN/WAN networks, VPN links and Cisco networking equipment.
• Provide database support for MySQL, Oracle and execute SQL queries for reporting.
• Deliver IT support and training to call‑centre agents and other staff members.
• Perform daily data backups, assist in disaster‑recovery planning and monitor system security.
• Update and maintain the company website and support digital platforms.
• Compile daily IT maintenance reports and document technical issues.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• 1–3 years of hands‑on experience in IT support or maintenance.
