Junior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Accountant to join our finance team in Westlands. You will support the preparation of financial statements, manage day‑to‑day accounting tasks, and assist with budgeting and compliance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
• Reconcile bank statements and monitor discrepancies.
• Record daily financial transactions and maintain accurate ledgers.
• Process and manage invoices, expense reports, and payments.
• Verify and reconcile accounts payable and receivable balances.
• Follow up on outstanding payments and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Assist with the preparation and filing of tax returns and other compliance reports.
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and accounting standards.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
• Monitor actual expenses against budgets and report variances.
• Maintain and update financial databases and spreadsheets.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide insights.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in accounting or finance‑related roles.
• Holding an Advanced Accountant Certificate (Section 6).
• Experience in fixed asset management.
