About the role
Blue Oak Consulting is seeking a Junior Business Analyst to support its work with an international development partner. You will join a small, principal‑led, fully remote team and help examine the financial foundations of complex projects, ensuring that capital allocation and commercial assumptions are sound.
Key responsibilities
- Review financial statements and project budgets to spot inconsistencies.
- Build and maintain financial models that test pricing and volume sensitivities.
- Support analysis of capital allocation for the international development sector.
- Extract and organise data from multiple sources into clear structures.
- Research market benchmarks to validate internal projections.
- Write concise summaries highlighting potential financial risks.
- Assist principals during execution by tracking performance against the original economic case.
- Clean large datasets to ensure analytical accuracy.
- Participate in internal discussions on new investment proposals.
Required profile
- University degree in finance, economics, accounting or a related field.
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Ability to work autonomously in a remote environment.
- Comfort with messy or incomplete data.
Required skills
- Proficiency with spreadsheet tools.
