Junior Credit Analyst

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Credit Analyst to join our team in Westlands, Kenya. The role focuses on credit and financial analysis, leveraging data‑driven techniques to support decision‑making. You will work closely with senior analysts to develop a solid foundation in credit risk assessment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and review of credit reports and financial analyses.
• Utilise Python, SQL, Bash, R and data‑visualisation tools to analyse credit data.
• Support the evaluation of borrower creditworthiness and risk profiles.
• Collaborate with the finance team to ensure data accuracy and consistency.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in Actuarial Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field.
• Zero to two years of work experience in a similar role.
• Strong interest in credit and financial analysis.
• Analytical, detail‑oriented and a problem solver.
• Comfortable working with data and numbers.
• Must have an A in Mathematics.
