Junior Data Quality Analyst

About the role

Blue Oak Consulting is seeking a Junior Data Quality Analyst to join its fully remote advisory team. You will work directly with senior principals to ensure the data underpinning high‑stakes financial analyses for a major healthcare distribution client is accurate, reliable, and transparent.

Key responsibilities

• Review large datasets for inconsistencies, missing entries, or logical errors that could affect financial models.
• Assist in building financial models by sourcing and validating historical performance data.
• Document data‑cleaning methods to guarantee repeatability and transparency.
• Test the sensitivity of growth assumptions by adjusting variables within Excel workbooks.
• Compare internal client data with external market benchmarks to spot outliers.
• Prepare concise summaries of data discrepancies for senior consultants.
• Support audit of acquisition models to confirm data integrity.
• Monitor data feeds from client systems for ongoing quality assurance.

Required profile

• Recent graduate or early‑career professional with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining regular communication.
• Comfort with large volumes of data and a willingness to question underlying assumptions.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data validation).
