Junior Housekeeper

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Housekeeper to join our hospitality team in Westlands, Nairobi. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and guest comfort across our property.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize rooms, corridors, washrooms and common areas daily.
• Perform sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming and window cleaning as required.
• Prepare rooms by making beds, changing linens, and restocking towels and toiletries.
• Monitor and report missing or damaged items, as well as maintenance issues such as leaks or broken fixtures.
• Handle cleaning equipment and chemicals safely, store supplies properly and track stock levels.
• Follow health, safety and hygiene SOPs, using PPE where needed.
• Assist colleagues during busy periods and support laundry operations when required.

Required profile

• Certificate or basic training in housekeeping or a related field (advantageous).
• 6 months to 1 year of housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability and honesty.
• Good physical stamina to stand and work on feet for long periods.
• Ability to follow instructions accurately and manage time effectively.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of cleaning procedures and hygiene standards.
• Safe use of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
