Junior Quantity Surveyor

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our construction team in Westlands, Kenya. This entry‑level position offers the chance to develop core surveying skills while supporting a range of building projects.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
• Support cost estimation, budgeting, and project cost control activities.
• Prepare quantity take‑offs from drawings and specifications.
• Help value work completed and draft payment certificates.
• Monitor project costs and maintain accurate cost records.
• Support procurement by preparing tender documents and evaluating quotations.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and company procedures.
• Prepare project reports and other quantity‑surveying documentation as needed.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying.
• Recent graduate or up to 2 years of relevant experience.
• Strong willingness to learn and develop professionally.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Analytical mindset with keen attention to detail.
