Junior React Developer (Remote, Kenya)

About the role

JHC Consulting is looking for a Junior React Developer to join its growing team supporting internal software tools used for delivering written analysis to clients. This full‑time, fully remote role is focused on maintaining and enhancing the front‑end of the platform that hosts, styles, and archives signed memoranda.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain user‑interface components using React.
• Build semantic HTML and CSS to ensure consistent document layouts across screen sizes.
• Translate design requirements into functional code, prioritising typography and readability.
• Debug front‑end issues and respond to internal reports of system friction.
• Collaborate with the backend team to ensure accurate data presentation.
• Write technical documentation for components to support long‑term maintainability.
• Review code from peers to uphold firm standards of clarity and logic.

Required profile

• Early‑career developer with a strong interest in clean, readable code.
• Ability to work independently while coordinating with a US‑based team, requiring at least four hours of overlap with Eastern Time.
• Legal right to work in Kenya and reliable internet connection for remote collaboration.
