Key Accounts Manager – Machinery Sales

About the role

Inchcape Africa is seeking a Key Accounts Manager to lead machinery sales across corporate, government, institutional and other strategic customer segments. You will act as a strategic partner, driving sales volume, revenue, gross profit and market share while delivering tailored commercial solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage strategic key accounts to achieve sales, revenue, profit and market share targets.
• Identify and convert new business opportunities across agricultural, commercial, government and institutional sectors.
• Lead project and fleet sales, managing tenders, structured procurement and large‑scale customer requirements.
• Oversee the end‑to‑end sales process from prospecting to order delivery.
• Build strong networks with decision‑makers, procurement, technical and finance teams.
• Partner with OEMs and financial institutions to support financing solutions and major projects.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of key account management and B2B sales experience, preferably in agricultural machinery or heavy equipment.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, agriculture, engineering, marketing or related field.
• Strong understanding of the agricultural sector, value chains, government programmes and machinery requirements.
• Proven track record in business development, tender management and complex B2B sales cycles.
• Excellent relationship‑building, negotiation and communication skills.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel extensively.
