Laboratory Technician – Animal Feed

About the role

We are seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our animal feed quality team in Westlands, Kenya. The role involves conducting rigorous testing of feed ingredients and finished products to ensure they meet nutritional and safety standards for livestock.

Key responsibilities

• Perform chemical, microbiological and nutritional analyses on feed samples.
• Maintain compliance with ISO, HACCP and KEBS quality standards.
• Assess protein, fiber, vitamin and mineral content for optimal livestock performance.
• Support R&D teams in developing new feed formulations.
• Provide scientific advice to farmers and sales personnel.
• Document test results, formulations and compliance reports accurately.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Laboratory Technology, Food Science or Animal Nutrition.
• 3–5 years of laboratory testing experience in the animal feed sector.
• Strong understanding of livestock nutrition and feed formulation.
• Proficiency in laboratory equipment handling and safety protocols.
