Lead People Partner (Kenya)

About the role

Join M‑KOPA’s expanding People team as the Lead People Partner for Kenya, the company’s oldest and largest market. You will shape the people agenda that supports rapid scaling and financial inclusion for millions of everyday earners across Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Act as strategic advisor to Kenya’s leadership on org design, workforce planning and business‑aligned people strategy.
• Own talent review, performance calibration and succession planning for the Kenya client group, building frameworks from scratch.
• Lead employee‑relations resolution and serve as the escalation point, ensuring compliance with Kenyan labour law.
• Drive organisational change initiatives, including restructuring, transformations and cross‑functional project delivery.

Required profile

• 8+ years progressive HR/People Partner experience, with 3–6+ years advising director‑level or senior executives in fast‑growth, matrixed organisations.
• Working knowledge of Kenyan labour law and proven experience handling employee‑relations escalations end‑to‑end.
• Demonstrated experience designing and executing org‑design, workforce planning or succession strategies, with evidence of built frameworks.
