Lead Platform Support Engineer - DevOps

About the role

We are looking for a Lead Platform Support Engineer with a strong DevOps background to manage and support our Kubernetes‑based platform in Kenya. The role involves ensuring platform stability, performance, and smooth release cycles.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and support Kubernetes clusters, pods, containers and related infrastructure.
• Perform container lifecycle management including deployment, scaling and maintenance.
• Automate operational tasks using Ansible for configuration management.
• Monitor platform health, performance and availability with enterprise monitoring and logging tools.
• Analyse logs, troubleshoot production incidents and drive timely resolution.
• Support application deployments and releases through Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure and support teams to ensure seamless operations.
• Participate in root‑cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years of experience in Platform Support, DevOps or SRE roles.
• Hands‑on experience with production support and 24x7 operational environments.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Exposure to Linux administration and scripting.
