Learning Community & Hub Operations Intern

About the role

The Learning Community & Hub Operations Intern will support learner engagement and the day‑to‑day functioning of the ALX hub in Nairobi. This on‑site role blends community‑building activities with operational duties in an education‑technology environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide onboarding assistance, track learner progress, and address challenges to ensure successful program completion.
• Coordinate learning events, webinars and workshops to foster community interaction.
• Maintain hub cleanliness, safety, and operational standards through regular inspections and prompt handling of repairs.
• Manage relationships with hub stakeholders, service providers and partners, and keep accurate records of services and payments.
• Collect and analyse data on learner attendance, milestones and community feedback to inform improvements.

Required profile

• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to motivate diverse learners.
• Excellent organizational attention to detail and a proactive problem‑solving mindset.
• Courage to speak up, humility to learn, initiative to take ownership, and resilience to overcome setbacks.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Google Workspace, Slack and Zoom.
• Data analysis capability for interpreting attendance and progress reports.
• Familiarity with data‑visualisation tools such as Google Data Studio or Power BI.
