Learning & Development Specialist

About the role

The Learning & Development Specialist will co‑design, deliver and manage the KOFISI Academy, the internal platform that builds hospitality excellence, operational skills and leadership across all KOFISI teams. The role ensures every employee, wherever they are located, receives consistent, high‑quality training to support an exceptional member experience.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and lead interactive training sessions, workshops and e‑learning modules for audiences ranging from front‑line staff to department heads.
• Incorporate modern learning techniques such as scenario‑based learning, simulations, peer learning and gamification while upholding five‑star hospitality standards.
• Travel to KOFISI centres across Africa and the Middle East to deliver in‑person training and inductions.
• Maintain the Academy calendar, coordinate logistics, and manage participant scheduling.
• Engage centre managers between training cycles to identify performance gaps, follow up on skill application and support floor‑level issue resolution.
• Collaborate with line managers to embed learning into daily operations and share accountability for post‑training performance.
• Implement assessments to measure knowledge retention, behaviour change and business impact; report results to senior leadership.
• Conduct training needs assessments using performance data, surveys and observations; develop and continuously update practical content covering hospitality, customer service, F&B operations, leadership and team management.

Required profile

• Proven ability to design and deliver training programmes for diverse audiences.
• Willingness to travel regularly across multiple African and Middle‑Eastern locations.
• Strong collaboration skills with centre managers, department heads and senior leadership.
• Analytical mindset to evaluate training effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
