Line Maintenance Outstation Coordinator

About the role

The Line Maintenance Outstation Coordinator ensures that Kenya Airways and its third‑party partners operate safely, on time and cost‑effectively at all line maintenance outstations. The role combines technical oversight, logistical planning and stakeholder management to support both scheduled and contingency operations.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse technical delays and implement actions to improve dispatch performance at outstations.
• Conduct regular technical oversight visits to guarantee safety and on‑time flight operations.
• Assist the Lead in evaluating the cost‑effectiveness of outsourced line stations.
• Participate in the set‑up of new outstations, including capability assessments and regulatory approvals.
• Maintain professional relationships with line‑maintenance management and regulatory authorities.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, budgets, tools, equipment and spares.
• Support quality audits, AOG recoveries and contractual liaison with service providers.
• Prepare and submit monthly performance reports for all outstations.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience in aircraft maintenance, with at least 2 years in a line‑maintenance environment.
• University degree or diploma in a relevant engineering or technical field.
• Strong understanding of third‑party operator procedures, SGHA contracts and IATP.
• Familiarity with KCAA/EASA regulations and Kenya Airways procedures.
• Project‑management knowledge and ability to work across departments.
