Loan & Collection Officer Online

About the role

The Loan & Collection Officer will work online to evaluate loan applications, manage repayments and recover overdue amounts for our micro‑finance portfolio. You will act as the main point of contact for borrowers, ensuring a smooth loan lifecycle while maintaining strict compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Interview loan applicants, review financial documents and assess creditworthiness to approve or decline applications in line with company policies.
• Monitor loan portfolios, send payment reminders and follow up with borrowers via phone, SMS or email regarding upcoming or overdue payments.
• Engage proactively with clients to recover overdue amounts, negotiate repayment plans or restructuring options where necessary.
• Maintain accurate customer records, record payment transactions and safeguard confidential information.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports on collection performance, portfolio quality and non‑performing loans.
• Ensure adherence to internal lending policies, ethical standards and Central Bank or micro‑finance regulations.

Required profile

• Mid‑level professional with at least 24 months of experience in loan origination, collections or related financial services.
• Strong analytical ability to evaluate financial statements and credit data.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with borrowers through phone, SMS and email.
• High level of integrity and commitment to data confidentiality.
