Locum Physiotherapist

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Locum Physiotherapist to join our team in Westlands, Nairobi on a contract basis. The role involves delivering high‑quality physiotherapy services to a diverse patient base, ensuring safe and effective rehabilitation.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physiotherapy assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Deliver evidence‑based physiotherapy interventions tailored to patients' clinical needs and rehabilitation goals.
• Monitor, evaluate, and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment programs, exercise regimens, and injury‑prevention strategies.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and professional clinical records.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Participate in clinical audits, quality‑improvement initiatives, and professional development activities.
• Adhere to all professional, ethical, and regulatory standards governing physiotherapy practice.

Required profile

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy from a recognized institution.
• Valid registration and practicing license with the relevant regulatory authority.
• Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience in physiotherapy practice.
• Experience in home healthcare, rehabilitation, geriatrics, neurology, orthopedics, or post‑operative care is an advantage.
• Strong clinical assessment and treatment abilities.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Possession of a valid driving licence is an added advantage.
