Logistics Sales Executive

About the role

TMC Transportation, the nation’s largest employee‑owned open‑deck carrier, is seeking a Logistics Sales Executive to drive new business and nurture existing customer relationships. Based in Ames, IA, you will act as the primary point of contact for customers, aligning their logistics needs with TMC’s service solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain a pipeline of new business opportunities using proven lead‑generation strategies.
• Conduct discovery calls with prospects and existing customers to match TMC services to their requirements.
• Develop long‑term partnerships based on integrity, competence and capability.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless implementation and delivery of services.
• Prepare and present accurate pricing proposals that meet customer needs while supporting profitability goals.
• Address customer concerns promptly and ensure timely, satisfactory resolutions.
• Monitor market trends, industry disruptions and regulatory changes to provide informed solutions.
• Track sales goals, customer activity and performance metrics using internal software platforms.
• Communicate notable activities, successes and challenges to leadership to drive continuous improvement.
