LPG Area Sales Manager – Kenya

About the role

The LPG Area Sales Manager (ASM) is responsible for driving sales, improving ARPU, reducing asset losses, and managing LPG Sales Agents in their assigned area. Reporting to the LPG Regional Sales Manager, the ASM ensures operational execution is efficient by working closely with the operations team.

Key responsibilities

• Team Management: Recruit, train and retain LPG Sales Agents, coach them to meet sales targets, manage ARPU and ensure excellent customer service.
• Operational Coordination: Work with the operations team to guarantee installations, exchanges and other services are completed within 24 hours and monitor RAs/ICs performance.
• Stock & Inventory Management: Ensure sufficient cylinders, stoves and FMCDs at depots, conduct periodic stock audits and resolve shortages.
• Customer & Field Engagement: Support field teams in addressing customer issues promptly, conduct market activations, community outreach and group sales initiatives.
• Reporting & Performance Tracking: Provide daily, weekly and monthly updates on sales, ARPU, agent recruitment, asset loss and operational issues; lead weekly review meetings with agents.

Required profile

• Minimum Diploma in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration or related field; degree preferred.
• At least 3 years of field sales experience, preferably in LPG, FMCG, micro‑finance or telecom.
• Strong leadership, team‑building and operational management abilities; proven track record recruiting, training and retaining high‑performing teams.
• Self‑driven, process‑oriented, able to work independently and passionate about clean, affordable LPG solutions.
