Manager - Network and Service Management

About the role

Telkom Kenya Limited is seeking a Manager for Network and Service Management to lead its network operations and service delivery. Reporting to the Head of Network & Service Management Business Unit Operations, you will ensure network availability, quality of service, and effective budget utilization.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the allocated budget and procure vendors cost‑effectively in collaboration with the procurement department.
• Oversee timely network maintenance to guarantee service availability for customers.
• Provide high‑quality service in line with SLA agreements and performance standards.
• Monitor network surveillance alarms, perform first‑level troubleshooting, and ensure timely escalation of outages.
• Prepare monthly reports on network faults, outages, and remedial actions.
• Supervise the NOC, manage its inventory, and coordinate change requests and scheduling.
• Act as custodian of data‑centre access, granting permissions to technology teams, vendors, and partners as needed.
• Lead, train, and mentor NOC and SMC teams, monitoring performance and fostering growth.

Required profile

• BSc degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications or a related technical field.
• Cisco/CCNA certification.
• 5‑8 years of experience in telecommunications engineering, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
