Marketing Manager

About the role

The Marketing Manager will report directly to the CEO and lead the full spectrum of marketing activities for a fast‑growing FMCG company. This newly elevated position is designed to set strategic direction, execute campaigns, and build a high‑performing marketing department that will eventually evolve into a Chief Marketing Officer role.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and own the annual marketing strategy aligned with revenue and growth targets.
• Create quarterly plans with clear KPIs, budgets, and accountability for results.
• Manage the marketing budget, ensuring strong ROI and disciplined spend.
• Coordinate all marketing channels—including digital, trade, and brand initiatives.
• Lead the modernisation and repositioning of legacy brands, especially the flagship brand.
• Build brand equity and emotional connections with Gen Z, young families, and the Kenyan middle class.
• Ensure brand consistency across packaging, in‑store, digital, and activation touchpoints.
• Drive storytelling, brand voice development, and go‑to‑market frameworks for new product launches.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of marketing experience, preferably in FMCG or food & beverage.
• Proven ability to develop and execute strategic marketing plans.
• Experience managing budgets and delivering measurable ROI.
• Strong leadership skills with a track record of building and guiding teams.
