Mathematics Lecturer (Part‑time)

About the role

We are seeking part‑time lecturers to teach mathematics and related quantitative subjects to students in our geospatial programmes. The role involves delivering lectures, supervising practical sessions and supporting research activities at our Nairobi campus.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver lectures, tutorials and practical training in mathematics, statistics, data analytics and related fields.
• Prepare learning materials, assessment tools and project supervision guidelines.
• Evaluate student performance through assignments, exams and project reviews.
• Contribute to curriculum development and academic programme improvement.
• Support research initiatives and mentor students on project work.

Required profile

• At least a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Mathematics Education, Actuarial Science, Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, IT or a closely related field.
• Minimum two years of relevant professional, teaching or industry experience in mathematics or quantitative disciplines.
• Professional certifications such as TVETA Trainer/Assessor accreditation or a Postgraduate Diploma in Education are highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver practical, learner‑centred and industry‑relevant training.
