About the role
The M+E GIS Coordinator will support the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) team by providing GIS expertise for data collection, mapping and analysis across the Olokeri Landscape Project. This full‑time position is based in the project office and involves regular travel to implementation sites.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain GIS databases to capture project‑level monitoring and evaluation data.
- Produce spatial analyses, maps and visual dashboards that inform project performance and impact assessments.
- Collaborate with the MEAL Manager and field teams to integrate GIS outputs into regular reporting cycles.
- Conduct field visits to verify spatial data, update layers and ensure data quality.
- Provide technical support and training to local staff on GIS tools and best practices.
Required profile
- Kenyan national with the right to work locally.
- Experience in GIS applied to environmental or development projects.
- Strong analytical mindset and ability to translate spatial data into actionable insights.
- Willingness to travel frequently to remote implementation sites.
