Mechanical Design Engineer (AutoCAD & SolidWorks)

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to develop detailed 2D drawings and 3D models for sheet‑metal components, enclosures and fabricated structures using AutoCAD and SolidWorks. The role supports product development, prototyping and production in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Create detailed 2D drawings in AutoCAD and 3D models in SolidWorks.
• Design sheet‑metal parts, enclosures and fabricated structures.
• Prepare fabrication drawings, bills of materials and assembly instructions.
• Coordinate with shop‑floor teams to ensure production feasibility and drive process improvements.
• Work with CNC programmers and operators to align designs with machining processes.
• Optimize designs for manufacturability, cost and performance.
• Conduct tolerance analysis and verify component fit.
• Support prototyping, testing and product development activities.
• Review and revise designs based on feedback from production and quality teams.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and company design guidelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 3–8 years of experience in mechanical design and sheet‑metal fabrication.
• Hands‑on experience with CNC turning and milling operations.
• Knowledge of GD&T and ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical and communication skills.

• CNC machining concepts (turning, milling, basic programming)
