Mechanical Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design, installation, and supervision of mechanical building services for our real‑estate projects in Nairobi. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high‑quality, cost‑effective solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, supervise, and coordinate installation of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, lifts and other mechanical systems.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications and BOQs for compliance with project and industry standards.
• Conduct site inspections, monitor construction progress and enforce quality control.
• Collaborate with consultants, contractors and project teams to meet timelines and budgets.
• Manage contractors, resolve technical issues and propose cost‑effective engineering solutions.
• Ensure health, safety, environmental and statutory compliance for all mechanical works.
• Prepare progress reports and track performance against schedule, budget and quality targets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Registered with the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK) and member of the Institution of Engineers of Kenya (IEK).
• 5‑8 years of experience in mechanical building services within real‑estate or property development.
• Proven expertise in HVAC, plumbing, fire protection and lift systems.
• Strong knowledge of engineering standards, building regulations and project coordination.
