Mechanical Engineer (Remote Contract)

About the role

The Mechanical Engineer will work on a contract basis, remotely, contributing to aerospace and mechanical system design projects for MoloMolo Tech. The role involves developing and evaluating mechanical concepts, performing calculations, and producing CAD models and technical drawings while supporting model‑based engineering workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and assess mechanical concepts for aerospace and mechanical systems.
• Perform detailed calculations and analyses, including tolerance and component selection.
• Create and revise 3D CAD models and technical drawings.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure designs meet certification and compliance requirements.
• Participate in R&D activities, prototype support, and design optimisation.
• Document design decisions and provide technical documentation for project delivery.
• Maintain proactive communication and adhere to project milestones in a distributed environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Practical experience in aerospace or related industries.
• Hands‑on experience with mechanical design, component selection, tolerance analysis, and system integration.
• Experience in research and development and familiarity with certification‑focused workflows.
