Mechanical Technician

About the role

Buen is seeking a Mechanical Technician to ensure reliable plant operations through preventive and corrective maintenance. The role focuses on troubleshooting equipment faults, maintaining accurate records, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives while adhering to safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment.
• Diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and reduce mean‑time‑to‑repair (MTTR).
• Maintain logs, spare‑parts inventories, and technical documentation.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Implement maintenance procedures and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Participate in root‑cause analysis and provide input for spare‑parts planning.
• Identify cost‑reduction opportunities and support continuous‑improvement projects.
• Respond to breakdown call‑outs, work shifts and extended hours as required.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of industrial/manufacturing maintenance experience.
• Willingness to work shifts and emergency call‑outs.
