Mid-Senior Boomi Developer

About the role

ASIC is looking for an experienced Mid‑Senior Boomi Developer to design, build and support critical integration services and APIs on the Boomi platform. You will work within the Digital Applications team to deliver secure, reliable solutions that support ASIC’s mission of maintaining a fair and efficient financial system.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse integration requirements and contribute to solution design.
• Develop, test and deploy Boomi integration services and definitions.
• Drive continuous improvement of integration environments, processes and documentation.
• Maintain integration design documents, data mappings, formats and transformation specifications.
• Ensure compliance with development, privacy and security standards.
• Provide operational support including health checks, incident handling, releases and change management.
• Coach junior team members and transfer knowledge.
• Troubleshoot performance and integration issues.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification in IT, engineering or a related field (desirable).
• 3+ years experience developing integration solutions using Boomi or similar platforms.
• 5+ years experience with web services and APIs (REST, XML/JSON, SOAP, XSLT).
• API design experience (e.g., SwaggerHub) and testing experience with ReadyAPI.
• Exposure to AWS API Gateway and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure (desirable).
• Working knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools (TFS, Git, Jira).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices and automated testing.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder communication skills.

What we offer

• Annual salary range $152,074 – $168,164 (depending on experience) plus 15.4% superannuation.
• 24‑month fixed‑term contract.
