Mortuary Science Tutor – Teaching & Training

About the role

We are seeking a Mortuary Science Tutor to deliver both theoretical and practical training in mortuary science at MEDPRIME TRAINING COLLEGE. The role involves preparing students for professional practice through classroom instruction and hands‑on laboratory work.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver theoretical lessons and practical sessions covering embalming, body preservation, mortuary hygiene and safe handling of human remains.
• Demonstrate and supervise practical procedures, ensuring compliance with health, safety and ethical standards.
• Prepare lesson plans, assignments, examinations and assess student performance.
• Provide academic guidance, mentorship and identify learning gaps.
• Maintain accurate attendance, assessment records and submit academic reports.
• Facilitate student attachments, internships and field visits by liaising with mortuaries, hospitals and funeral service providers.
• Participate in curriculum review and development to keep training content current.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mortuary Science, Mortuary Technology, Funeral Services or related field.
• At least 12 months of professional experience in mortuary practice or funeral services.
• Strong communication, presentation and mentorship abilities.
• Commitment to professionalism, confidentiality and ethical standards.
