Network and Service Operations Centre Engineer

About the role

Join NTT DATA as a Network and Service Operations Centre Engineer. You will ensure proactive visibility of network and client services, drive incident resolution, and contribute to continuous service improvement in a fast‑paced ISP environment.

Key responsibilities

• Configure monitoring and alerting for network and service elements to enable early detection of anomalies.
• Review NMS‑generated alerts, initiate customer outreach, validate service impact and coordinate timely resolution.
• Manage SLA adherence through prompt alert handling, incident triage and stakeholder communication.
• Oversee real‑time tracking and communication of planned and emergency network changes.
• Control infrastructure access by managing permissions and activity logs for fiber sites, collocation facilities and data centres.
• Produce shift handover reports, network health summaries and ad‑hoc operational insights.
• Facilitate cross‑functional root‑cause analysis and document resolutions within SLA timelines.
• Identify recurring incidents, perform trend analysis and propose Service Improvement Plans.
• Monitor third‑party performance and contribute to vendor service reviews.
• Provide accurate updates to stakeholders during maintenance windows and recovery processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in IT/Computing or equivalent work experience.
• CCNA certification (mandatory); CCNP (advantage) and ITIL V4 (advantage).
• 2‑3 years of experience in an ISP technical environment.
• Hands‑on experience with network management systems and advanced knowledge of ISP network designs, protocols and best practices.
• Strong analytical, fault‑resolution and communication skills; ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
