Network Technician Level 3 (CCNP, CCIE)

About the role

We are seeking a senior Network Technician Level 3 to join our Nairobi team. You will be responsible for maintaining high‑complexity networking equipment, leading technical staff, and ensuring seamless network operations for our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, operate, repair and maintain complex network hardware.
• Train and supervise Level 1 and Level 2 technicians and lead a technical team.
• Perform installations, moves, repairs, uninstalls, site surveys, rack‑and‑stack, and vendor escort activities.
• Install, terminate, label and test cabling for telecom circuit demarcation extensions.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Lift equipment weighing over 45 lb and adhere to safety standards.

Required profile

• More than 9 years of experience in network support or a similar role.
• Technical degree or relevant certifications (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CompTIA Network+ preferred).
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact with C‑level executives.
• Professional attitude and ability to work independently on field assignments.

Required skills

• Deep understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, DNS and DHCP.
• Hands‑on experience with Cisco or equivalent networking equipment.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools and ticketing systems.
• Basic knowledge of Windows Server environments and Active Directory.
• Proficiency with a Windows 11 laptop, console cable, terminal emulators (PuTTY, TeraTerm, Poderosa), serial port adapters, Teams/Webex, and an engineering toolkit.
