NGIS Warehouse Specialist

About the role

Amentum is seeking an NGIS Warehouse Specialist to support a critical U.S. Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role involves managing daily warehouse operations, ensuring accurate receipt and shipment of materials, and maintaining strict safety and compliance standards in a remote, multi‑national environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse activities and enforce documented procedures.
• Review and verify daily receiving reports and shipping logs for accuracy.
• Remove, prepare, and palletize materials for shipment while inspecting for discrepancies or damage.
• Provide leadership, training, and guidance to Warehousemen.
• Maintain comprehensive paperwork filing and enforce safety and environmental practices.
• Perform additional duties consistent with the position’s level and nature.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum four years of warehouse experience.
• Experience operating hand or power trucks, including forklifts.
• Advanced knowledge of Government Furnished Property (GFP) handling.
• Familiarity with Army regulation FAR 52.245-1, DLA/DS processes, and DCMA ETOOLs.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Valid passport (minimum one‑year validity) and ability to obtain required visas and facility credentials.
• Ability to meet contract medical requirements and communicate effectively in English.
