Officers Club Manager – US Navy Program

About the role

The Officers Club Manager will lead the day‑to‑day operations of the Officers Club supporting a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. This role ensures a safe, clean and welcoming environment for officers and guests while delivering high‑quality food and beverage services.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all club operations, including food and beverage service, customer relations and event coordination.
• Lead, supervise and train club staff to meet Navy MWR customer service standards.
• Maintain compliance with CNICINST 1710.3 regarding hazardous material handling, storage and use.
• Ensure all personnel hold current CPR certification and other required trainings.
• Monitor cleanliness, organization and food safety across the facility.
• Develop programs and services that enhance the patron experience.
• Manage inventory of supplies, equipment and hazardous materials with proper record‑keeping.
• Track budgets, financial records and revenue goals.
• Communicate with patrons, staff and stakeholders to resolve concerns and improve services.
• Plan and execute special events, catering and activities for officers and guests.
• Prepare routine operational and training compliance reports.

Required profile

• Minimum two years experience in hospitality, food and beverage management or facility operations, preferably in a supervisory role.
• Knowledge of Navy MWR operations and CNICINST 1710.3 standards.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid passport and ability to travel.

Required skills

• CPR certification (and ability to maintain it).
• First Aid, Food Safety and Sanitation, Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) handling, Alcohol Server Intervention, Customer Service and Local Emergency Procedures training.
