Onsite Technology Support Associate

About the role

The Onsite Technology Support Associate provides end‑user IT assistance to EY personnel in Nairobi. Working in a fast‑paced environment, the associate deploys, configures and troubleshoots hardware and software, ensuring smooth daily operations for all staff.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy and configure laptops, desktops, mobile devices and related software for new hires and departing employees.
• Coordinate hardware repairs, reinstall software, and resolve incidents escalated from the service desk.
• Provide after‑hours support for critical issues and assist with off‑site technology needs during firm‑sponsored events.
• Maintain asset records, support office moves, build‑outs and relocations, and act as “remote hands” for telecommunications and hosting teams.
• Identify recurring technical problems, analyse trends and recommend preventative measures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (upper second‑class honours or equivalent).
• Minimum KCSE grade of B overall and B in English and Mathematics.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize multiple incidents.

Required skills

• Proficiency in installing, configuring and testing computer hardware and operating systems.
• Experience with mobile/hand‑held device management.
• Basic knowledge of asset management processes and IT service desk workflows.
