Operation Manager

About the role

The Operation Manager will lead daily activities at &Beyond Suyian Lodge, ensuring seamless guest experiences and high operational standards. This permanent live‑in position requires close collaboration with department heads and the Lodge Manager to drive excellence across all service areas.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise Safari Shop Hosts, Night Porters, housekeeping, maintenance, and Massage teams, delivering briefings and feedback.
• Act as liaison between department heads and the Lodge Manager to maintain consistent operations.
• Engage directly with guests, host meals, resolve concerns, and support teams during peak periods.
• Attend Head of Department meetings, conduct operational walkthroughs, and review guest feedback.
• Prepare performance reports, analyse trends, and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Facilitate training sessions and mentor team members for leadership development.
• Provide relief coverage for Lodge Manager, F&B Manager, and housekeeping duties when required.

Required profile

• Strong leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Excellent communication and guest‑engagement skills.
• Proven experience overseeing hospitality operations and standards.
• Highly organized, proactive problem‑solver with the ability to multitask.
• Adaptable and resource‑ful in high‑pressure environments.
