Operations Officer

About the role

The Operations Officer will provide hands‑on operational support for WUSC projects in Nairobi, focusing on logistics, procurement, contracting and asset management. The role ensures that all transactions are delivered on time, comply with policies, are well‑documented and audit‑ready, while supporting partners in a facilitative manner.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage logistics across multiple projects, liaising with vendors and service providers.
• Develop logistics strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs, maintaining accurate activity records.
• Support day‑to‑day procurement actions, process purchase requisitions and run competitive procurement processes (RFQs/RFPs).
• Prepare bid analysis summaries and maintain pre‑qualified supplier lists.
• Draft standard contracts, purchase orders and service agreements using approved templates.
• Assist in the administration of grant agreements and partner contracts, ensuring accurate record‑keeping.

Required profile

• Experience in operational support, logistics coordination, procurement or contract administration.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce audit‑ready documentation.
• Capacity to work collaboratively with project teams and external partners.
