Operations Officer

About the role

The Operations Officer will support the efficient delivery of logistics, procurement, and contract activities for projects across the organization. Working closely with project teams, vendors and the finance unit, the officer ensures that goods, services and grant agreements are managed in a timely, cost‑effective and audit‑ready manner.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage logistics for multiple projects, develop strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Process purchase requisitions, run competitive procurement processes (RFQs/RFPs) and prepare bid analysis summaries.
• Draft standard contracts, purchase orders and service agreements using approved templates.
• Maintain grant and contract tracking systems, monitor key dates, deliverables and payment milestones.
• Ensure all procurement and contracting files are complete, audit‑ready and that vendors complete required vetting.
• Verify delivery of goods and services against specifications, support asset handover and payment processing.
• Maintain accurate records in designated procurement and grant management systems.

Required profile

• Entry‑level qualification with at least 3 years of experience in logistics, procurement or related functions.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain audit‑ready documentation.
