Optometrist

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Optometrist to join our franchised outpatient centre in Westlands, Nairobi. The role involves delivering high‑quality eye examinations, prescribing corrective lenses, and providing patient education in a fast‑moving, community‑focused environment. You will work closely with a team of doctors to ensure affordable and accessible eye care for the local community.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and visual acuity tests.
• Diagnose refractive errors and prescribe appropriate spectacles or contact lenses.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Provide counseling on eye health, preventive care, and follow‑up treatment plans.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care.

Required profile

• Diploma or Associate’s degree in Optometry.
• At least one year of relevant clinical experience.
• Valid licence from the Optometrists’ Association of Kenya (OAK) or Kenya Health Professionals Oversight Authority (KHPOA).
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
