Owner’s Engineer – Large-Scale Solar PV & BESS

About the role

The Owner’s Engineer acts as the independent technical representative of the asset owner for large‑scale solar photovoltaic (PV) and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects. In this role you will ensure that all engineering work meets the owner’s standards from the earliest design stages through to final performance verification.

Key responsibilities

• Provide independent engineering oversight and validation during the design phase of solar PV and BESS installations.
• Review and approve procurement specifications to guarantee technical compliance.
• Monitor construction activities, ensuring they follow approved designs and quality standards.
• Supervise commissioning procedures and verify that the completed system meets performance criteria.
• Conduct performance verification and report findings to the asset owner.

Required profile

• Proven experience acting as a technical representative or Owner’s Engineer on renewable energy projects.
• Strong understanding of large‑scale solar PV and battery storage technologies.
• Ability to work independently and provide unbiased engineering judgments.
