Part-time Dermatology Peer Reviewer (PhD)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced researcher with a PhD in dermatology or a related field to join our editorial team as a part-time peer reviewer. This remote, long-term position involves evaluating manuscripts submitted to a scientific journal and providing constructive feedback to authors.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the novelty and scientific contribution of each manuscript.
• Evaluate study design, methodology, and reproducibility.
• Verify that the literature review is comprehensive and up-to-date.
• Analyse results and ensure conclusions are supported by the data.
• Provide clear, concise, and constructive written feedback.
• Recommend acceptance, revision, or rejection to the editor.

Required profile

• Doctorate (PhD) in dermatology or a closely related discipline.
• At least five peer-reviewed publications in SCI/SSCI journals within the last three years.
• Strong understanding of research methodologies and ethical standards.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking and written communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality.
• Prior experience as a peer reviewer is highly desirable.
