Part-time Sonographer

About the role

The Sonographer will deliver high‑quality ultrasound imaging services across Penda Health’s outpatient clinics in Nairobi. This part‑time position supports patient diagnosis by performing scans, ensuring accurate documentation, and maintaining equipment standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound examinations following established SOPs and clinical guidelines.
• Prepare patients for scans, verify identification, and ensure comfort.
• Process, verify, and maintain accurate patient information and imaging records.
• Review and report results, correlating findings with patient conditions.
• Maintain equipment, conduct routine maintenance, and manage stock of supplies.
• Adhere to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
• Support the Branch Manager with additional sonography‑related duties and travel to other Penda Medical Centers as needed.

Required profile

• Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography or Medical Imaging Sciences.
• Valid license to practice from the relevant regulatory body (if applicable).
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in ultrasound imaging.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and professional standards.
• Proficient computer skills for data entry and record keeping.
