Pension Manager

About the role

The Pension Manager will report directly to the Board of Trustees and provide strategic and operational leadership for the Maseno University Retirement Benefits Scheme. This senior position is responsible for translating the Board’s vision into effective pension administration, investment oversight, and stakeholder engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of the Board’s strategic objectives and provide governance oversight.
• Oversee management of scheme funds, investments, assets, and financial resources to ensure sustainable growth.
• Deliver high‑quality pension administration services and drive member satisfaction initiatives.
• Ensure robust risk management, regulatory compliance, and internal controls.
• Champion operational excellence, digital transformation, and organizational development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Actuarial Science or related field; Master’s degree is an advantage.
• At least 10 years of post‑qualification experience, including 5 years in senior management within the pension sector.
• Professional qualification and membership with a relevant professional body.
• Completion of a minimum four‑week leadership training program.
