Pharmaceutical Technologist

About the role

DoveyPharma Limited is seeking a full‑time Pharmaceutical Technologist to join its Nairobi County pharmacy team. You will support daily pharmacy operations, ensuring safe preparation and accurate dispensing of medicines while providing patient‑focused counseling.

Key responsibilities

• Compound sterile and non‑sterile formulations according to standard procedures.
• Interpret, verify, and process prescriptions accurately.
• Manage medication inventory, storage conditions, and stock rotation.
• Counsel patients on proper medication use and answer related queries.
• Collaborate with pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain precise records in compliance with regulatory and company standards.
• Ensure cleanliness, safety, and adherence to SOPs in the work area.
• Participate in quality‑assurance and continuous‑improvement activities.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Pharmaceutical Technology or a related field from a recognized institution.
• Valid registration and license with Kenya’s pharmacy regulatory authority.
• Strong technical knowledge of pharmacy and prescription handling.
• Practical experience in compounding, medicine preparation, and dispensing (experience in a community or hospital pharmacy is a plus).
• Good understanding of pharmaceutical regulations, good dispensing practices, and basic pharmacology.
• Attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and capacity to work in a fast‑paced environment.
