Pharmaceutical Technologist

About the role

The client in the healthcare sector is seeking a Pharmaceutical Technologist to support the preparation, manufacturing, and quality‑checking of pharmaceutical products. The role involves ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, safety requirements, and internal procedures while providing reliable service to patients and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and verify written prescriptions or refill requests for completeness and accuracy.
• Maintain proper storage, security conditions and inventory of pharmaceutical supplies.
• Fill bottles, label medications, and dispense supplies to patients, nursing stations and other departments.
• Prepare pharmaceutical mixtures according to written formulas and standard operating procedures.
• Clean, sterilise equipment and glassware, and keep work areas hygienic.
• Establish and update patient medication profiles.
• Order, label, receive and verify incoming supplies against invoices; report shortages.
• Compute charges for medication and equipment dispensed and record data in the computer system.
• Maintain pharmacy inventory, anticipate needs, place orders and remove outdated drugs.
• Ensure all activities comply with relevant laws, regulations and professional ethics.

Required profile

• Diploma in Pharmacy or related field (e.g., Enrolled Pharmacy Technician).
• At least 1 month of experience in a pharmacy or pharmaceutical production environment.
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures and regulatory guidelines.

• Medication dispensing and labeling.
• Computer data entry for pharmacy records.
