Pharmaceutical Technologist – Pharmacy Operations

About the role

The Pharmacy Technologist will join a busy pharmacy team in Nairobi, ensuring safe and accurate dispensing of medicines while providing professional advice to patients. This full‑time position supports both clinical and retail pharmacy functions.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately dispense prescription and over‑the‑counter medications according to medical orders.
• Provide clear dosage instructions, administration guidance, and information on possible side effects.
• Monitor stock levels, track expiry dates, and maintain proper storage conditions for all pharmaceutical products.
• Record and manage drug inventory movements, ensuring traceability.
• Assist customers and patients with medication‑related queries, delivering high‑quality customer service.
• Ensure compliance with Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB) regulations and maintain accurate dispensing records.
• Support internal and external audits, inspections, and regulatory reporting.

Required profile

• Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology.
• Minimum 2 years experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy setting.
• Registered and licensed by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB).
