Pricing Analyst (Freight)

About the role

The Pricing Analyst (Freight) will support Kaziweza Limited by managing pricing enquiries, preparing quotations and developing pricing strategies that align with market trends. You will work closely with internal teams and external service providers to ensure competitive and profitable freight pricing.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and evaluate pricing enquiries from internal and external customers.
• Negotiate rates with service providers and prepare timely quotations.
• Maintain quotation templates and update the quotation register with customer feedback.
• Analyze quote status, rate trends and competitor pricing to identify opportunities.
• Develop and implement pricing tactics, dynamic pricing tools and promotional pricing programs.
• Collaborate with commercial and operations teams to ensure pricing aligns with company strategy.
• Document pricing processes, manage price deviations and ensure data accuracy.
• Flag expiring rate agreements and provide ad‑hoc pricing analysis as required.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of experience in pricing, freight, or related analytical roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics or a related field.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market and competitor data.

Required skills

• Proficiency with business intelligence (BI) software.
• Experience applying statistical modeling methods to pricing strategies.
