Private Event Sales Associate

About the role

The Private Event Sales Associate will own the full sales cycle for private venue bookings, from generating leads to closing contracts and handing off clients to operations. This contractor role is based in Westlands, Nairobi and focuses on delivering a white‑glove experience for corporate, diplomatic and luxury clientele.

Key responsibilities

• Lead generation and business development through cold outreach, networking, referrals, social media and relationship building targeting corporate clients, embassies, NGOs, luxury brands, wedding and event planners, executive assistants and professional associations.
• Client engagement: respond to inquiries within one business hour, schedule venue tours within 72 hours, prepare customized proposals within 48 hours of tours, follow‑up diligently and negotiate contracts to meet monthly booking and revenue targets.
• Relationship management: act as the primary point of contact throughout the sales process, maintain detailed CRM notes, ensure a seamless transition to the operations team after contract execution.
• Administrative duties: keep the CRM accurate, track proposal conversion rates, produce weekly pipeline reports and forecast monthly revenue.

Required profile

• Mid‑level sales professional with at least 60 months of relevant experience.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding booking and revenue goals.
• Ability to handle high‑volume outbound prospecting (minimum 25 calls, 20 personalized emails, 10 in‑person meetings per week).
