Procurement Coordinator

About the role

The Procurement Coordinator will manage the end‑to‑end purchasing process for Takataka Solutions, ensuring that all requisitions are fulfilled accurately, on time, and within budget. This role acts as the central point of contact between internal users, suppliers, and the finance team.

Key responsibilities

• Review purchase requisitions for completeness and assign follow‑up actions.
• Coordinate RFQ strategy, compile supplier lists, and compare quotations.
• Lead supplier evaluation, negotiate terms, and approve recommendations before issuing LPOs.
• Oversee delivery follow‑up, handle delays or discrepancies, and ensure proper receiving documentation.
• Maintain full procurement documentation and enforce filing standards.
• Collaborate with Finance to perform three‑way matching and support timely payments.
• Provide weekly status updates and KPI reports to management.
• Develop and monitor departmental budgets, conduct market analysis, and standardise procurement processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain or a related field.
• Full membership of the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM).
• Professional certification such as CIPS is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
