Procurement & Inventory Officer

About the role

The Procurement & Inventory Officer will support the supply chain function of a healthcare and pharmaceutical retailer by ensuring the timely acquisition and proper management of medical supplies and related materials.

Key responsibilities

• Source, evaluate and procure pharmaceutical products, medical supplies and operational materials in line with company policies.
• Obtain and compare supplier quotations, prepare purchase orders and monitor the procurement cycle from requisition to delivery.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct regular stock and cycle counts, and coordinate replenishment to avoid shortages or over‑stocking.
• Update procurement and inventory transactions in the ERP system and generate regular reports for management.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and pharmaceutical regulations, and support internal and external audits.
• Collaborate with warehouse, finance and other departments to optimise supply‑chain efficiency.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of procurement experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical sector.
• Professional certification such as CIPS or KISM is an advantage.

Required skills

• ERP system usage for procurement and inventory management.
